Upon your arrival at UCLA or the earliest admission day on your I-20. You will receive an email from our office with instructions to complete the mandatory online post-arrival visa check-in.
Post-Arrival F-1 Status Check-In
All newly admitted F-1 students must complete the mandatory online Post-Arrival F-1 Status Check-In to validate their F-1 status. This must be completed by the end of week 2 of your first quarter/program start date. The Dashew Center will send you an email 30 days prior to your first quarter with a link to access the mandatory online Post-Arrival F-1 Visa Check-in portal. The portal will prompt you to upload the following documents:
- Copy of Page 1 of your UCLA I-20
- Copy of I-94 Admission Record (ACCESS YOUR I-94 here)
- Copy of F-1 Student Visa (not applicable to Canadian citizens)
- Copy of Passport Biographical Page
