Upon your arrival at UCLA or the earliest admission day on your I-20. You will receive an email from our office with instructions to complete the mandatory online post-arrival visa check-in.

Post-Arrival F-1 Status Check-In

All newly admitted F-1 students must complete the mandatory online Post-Arrival Status. This must be completed by the end of week 2 of your first quarter/program start date. The Post-Arrival Status Check-In is design to verify your F-1 status and documentation upon arrival in the U.S. The mandatory post-arrival status check-in process must be completed as soon as you arrived to the U.S.

If you do not complete the required components of iSTART, a Dashew Center hold will be placed on your student record which will affect your eligibility for course enrollment, all campus services, and access to University resources. Failure to complete your check-in requirement will also result in severe consequences for your visa status.
