An extension of stay may be requested if the student needs more time to complete their studies. Students must submit the DS-2019 extension application to the Dashew Center at least 3 weeks prior to the end date listed on their DS-2019. The Dashew Center needs at least 15 working days to process the extension. The earliest we can process an extension is 6 months prior to the DS-2019 end date.
